Snow was excellent for South Florida last year, hitting .343/.418/.526 with 13 doubles and eight home runs. While he didn’t enjoy the same production this spring, he hit .368/.449/.474 through 19 games on the Cape. He is a hit-over-power profile, but has shown the ability to drive the baseball into either gap. His bat-to-ball skills are above-average and he has a knack for finding the barrel. Snow has a thick, compact build at 5-foot-9 and 186 pounds. He is a surehanded defender at second base, which is where his long-term home is on the dirt. -
School: Mary Persons HS, Forsyth, Ga. Committed/Drafted: South Florida
Age At Draft: 18.4
A 5-foot-10, 175-pound shortstop, Snow showed some solid tools last summer over the showcase circuit but had a tremendous spring in 2022 for Mary Persons HS in Forysth, Ga. He hit over .600 with 17 home runs and has plenty of strength now, with good timing in the box. He is more of a timing and strength-based hitter than one with standout bat speed or twitchy actions. The same is true of him defensively, as some scouts think he has a chance to stick at shortstop, but most view him as a player who will move to third base at the next level thanks to limited range and side-to-side mobility. Without much more in the way of future physical projection, scouting opinions on Snow will heavily depend on how real evaluators believe the hit and power tools are now. Those on the higher end will be intrigued this July, while others might prefer to see him prove it in college at South Florida.
