Fisher had a fantastic true freshman season in 2023, pitching his way to a 6-0 record with a 3.10 ERA and 48 strikeouts to 13 walks across 49.1 innings. His fastball sits in the 91-93 mph range and has touched 95. His heater has plenty of natural run to the arm side, averaging nearly 19 inches of run in 2023. Fisher’s best secondary pitch is his high-70s/low-80s slider. It flashes long, sweeping action with some teeth at times. Fisher has advanced feel for the pitch and manipulates its shape well. To round out his arsenal, Fisher throws a mid-80s changeup that is a bit of a work in progress, but flashed ample late fade at times last year. -

A projection lefthander with a 6-foot-4, 200-pound frame, Fisher is a pure pitcher who stands out for his control and feel to mix and match rather than overpowering stuff. Last summer he mostly worked in the upper 80s and touched 91, and that velocity has been similar for him this spring. He misses more bats than you would expect given the velocity, thanks to solid deception and hiding the ball behind him in his delivery. He has good feel for a slider and changeup that should both become average pitches, with the slider getting above-average future grades with more power. Currently his breaking ball is a mid-70s, sweepy pitch that needs more sharpness and bite. With a chance for plus control, Fisher has strong starter traits, but his lack of velocity and a Florida commitment could mean clubs let him go to campus to continue his development in the SEC.
